What the website collects
The current website has no visitor accounts, signup forms, online booking, payment collection or file uploads. Its application code does not include advertising pixels or a visitor analytics service. Email, telephone and WhatsApp links open the relevant external service; information you choose to send goes to the recipient through that service.
Browser storage and cookies
The animation preference is saved in your browser under “gurudev-motion” so it can be remembered on later visits. It remains until you change it or clear this site’s browser storage. The opening animation also stores a shown flag for the current tab session, and page transitions temporarily store the destination and link label. These session values are used only for animation continuity, contain no visitor identifier and are cleared when the tab session ends; transition information is removed on the next page. The website’s own application code does not set tracking cookies. Embedded providers and the hosting platform may use their own storage or cookies under their policies. You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser; blocking them may affect some features.
YouTube, Spotify and fonts
YouTube players load only after you select a video and use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. The Spotify player loads only after you choose “Load Spotify player”. Loading a player connects your browser to its provider, which may process your IP address, browser information and interactions and may use cookies or similar technologies. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean no data is processed. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts when pages load; this also sends normal web request information to Google.
Hosting and external links
The site is delivered through ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure. Delivering a page requires processing technical request information, such as IP address and browser request details; the hosting provider may maintain service or security logs. External links, including Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube and Spotify, have their own data practices. This website does not control those providers’ records or retention periods.
Enquiries, retention and your choices
If you contact the ashram, use only the details needed for your enquiry. Correspondence may be used to respond, follow up and maintain records where needed for that purpose or applicable legal obligations. For questions about how long correspondence is retained, contact the ashram team. Hosting and external-service log retention is controlled by the relevant provider. For data held independently by a platform, contact that platform. Please do not email passwords, payment-card details or identity documents for a routine website enquiry.
